10,000 Step Pedometers - Yamax SW Range
The 10,000 Step Yamax Pedometers are some of the most accuarate & realiable in the world. They have been tried & tested against other leading pedometer brands including Omron, Oregon Scientific, Walk for Life and have come out on top. They are the first choice by far and with an accuracy difference of +/-1% at any walking speed you will find them an extremely high quality pedometer for such a low cost.

Pedometer Measures of Free - Living Physical Activity: Comparison 13 Models.
Department of Health and Exercise Science, University of Tennessee Knoxville TN.
Thirteen Models of commercially available electronic pedometers were assed is this study including Kenz, Yamax, Omron, Oregon, Sportline, New Lifestyles, Walk4Life, Colorado on the Move, Accusplit Alliance, Freestyle Pacer Pro.
"The Kenz (KZ), Yamax SW200 (YX200), New Lifestyles (NL), Yamax SW700 (YX700) & SportLine 330 (SL330) yielded mean values that were not significantly different from the criterion. However pedometer models including the Omron HJ-105 (OM), Oregon Scientific PE316CA (OR), Walk4Life LS2525 (WL) & Freestyle Pacer Pro (FR) were significantly above or below the criterion. In conclusion The Kenz, Yamax Digiwalker & New Lifestyle Pedometers appear to be most suitable for research purposes".

Accuracy & Realiability of 10 Pedometers for Measuring Steps over a 400m Walk.
Department of Health and Exercise Science, University of Tennessee Knoxville TN.
Ten models of commercially available electronic pedometers were assed in this stiudy including Kenz, Yamax, Omron, Oregon, Sportline & New Lifestyles.
"The Kenz, New Lifestyles & Yamax Digi Walker were the most accurate in counting steps, displaying values that were +/-3% of actual steps taken. The Sportline and Omron were least accurate displaying values within +/-37% of actual steps taken".

Validity of 10 Electronic Pedometers for Measuring Steps, Distance & Energy Cost.
Department of Health and Exercise Science, University of Tennessee Knoxville TN.
Ten pedometers were examined to determine the effects of walking speed on steps taken, distance traveled, and energy expenditure. Models including Kenz, Yamax, Omron, Oregon, Sportline & New Lifestyles.
"Overall it appears the Digi Walker SW700 is the most accurate at predicting steps, distance and gross kilocalories for walking".
